A Day of Clay - Throwing on the pottery wheel class

THE PERFECT POTTERY CLASS FOR BEGINNERS

Spare a day for some pottery wheel throwing fun!

In this workshop you will have a chance to throw on the pottery wheel with plenty of guidance and encouragement.

Followed by a demonstration - you will be learning to centre the clay, open up your pot and pull the wall on the cylinder.

We will explore different shapes such as tumblers, bowls and vases. There will also be a chance to decorate your vessels with coloured slips.

Day schedule

• Part I - 10am- 1pm (3 hours)

• Break - 1pm-2pm (1 hour interval)

• Part II - 2pm -3pm (1 hour)

Small groups of 4 participants. Ticket price is per person.

Pieces will be fired and glazed after the workshop and be ready to collect 4-6 weeks afterwards - items can be posted for a small fee to cover the costs.
